In co-operation with the Slovenian Spas Association, we noticed that the market lacked an event that could connect providers in the area of spa and wellness tourism with potential customers. We were faced with the challenge of how to create a single event that could include meetings, ideas and connections between domestic and foreign providers of spa and wellness services, with travel organisers, representatives of tour agencies and insurance companies as well as other potential customers.
SPA-CE, the spa and wellness tourism trade show for Central Europe, has become a platform for the market that is known for its carefully chosen hosted buyers, and, according to the show’s co-organiser, Iztok Altbauer, it has become the spa and wellness event of the year. The trade show is not open to the general public and takes place on the principle of meetings arranged in advance via a user-friendly web-based application that ensures optimal use of time. Study tours in chosen Slovenian and foreign thermal spas are also an integral part of the project.
